Day 2 - Chaumont & Cheverny
Bright and early, after a yummy French eggs and avocado toast, we are on our way to Chaumont.
We decide not to enter Chaumont as it's not the season for its garden. Also, apparently the best view is from Loire River which we can see from the town.

But i can imagine it will have a great view of the Loire from the castle, should i ever decide to go back!

Cheverny - Castle 2 in the visit list
After Chambord, we made our way to Cheverny which is in the visit list.
|
Welcome to my humble abode! |
|
Hello! Cheverny |
This is a privately owned castle that is opened to public for certain wing.
It is famous for being the inspired castle in Tin Tin (which i realized the French pronounced as Tan Tan =))
|
Looks familiar? |
In all the pamphlets, the dogs are a feature of this castle. This castle comes with a huge park for public picnic area which is really nice.

sleepy.. after a big meal.. zzzzz |

Pamphlets and tickets |
This castle is much cozier and feels like a home (if you live in a 20 room ginormous house filled with antiques)
|
Pretty corridor |
|
Dining room, decorated for Easter |
|
Staircase with Italian marble |
|
Some antiques in the chateau |
|
The main sitting room |
The chateau has some nice flowers and nicely trimmed hedges creating some nice gardens.

While we are there, there's a Lego exhibit with Fables of Fontaine that i can't resist trying to take all of them as they are spectacular for me.

We took it easy for the night with a quiet dinner home =)

Only in France.. vending machine for french bread ^_^ |
|
I love this summary for French wine. Look at the variation in Loire. I'm guessing lots of micro climates and soil variation in the region |
