Woke up bright and early and went snorkeling at Anini beach.
Anini Beach with our homemade Mai Tai |
However, Anini Beach is sheltered by a huge reef and was still safe to swim today.
We found the edge of the reef and was delighted to see a sting ray and a couple of turtles in our snorkeling, on top of the regular reef fishes.
The turtles here in Kuaui appears bigger than the ones we saw at Maui.
Kilauea Light House
After our snorkeling jaunt, we made our way to Kilauea light house.

It's a wildlife refuge more than an active lighthouse. It shows the entire north shore view and it's quite spectacular.
Banana Joe's
After that, we visited Banana Joe's for local produce and smoothies.
Check out the mango that we got there! yum!
Kilauea Fish House
And we also went to Kilauea fish house for their ahi fish plate and ono burrito. Great sauce, good amount of fish in our food. We are not disappointed.

After that, a break at the hotel pool
Hotel Pool View |
We got ready for our dinner at Kauai Ono.
This is an interesting place that does farm to table cooking, in a trailer, served under a big tent. http://www.kauaiono.com/
Kauai Ono Setup |
The food has good flavours and it's interesting to sit on a communal table and meet/chat with other people. But it's definitely overpriced.
