France Trip 2017 - Toulouse

Toulouse

St Peter's bridge at night
This is an interesting city. It is called the Rose city as it's full of old bricks building and one of the most well preserved Renaissance city in France.
Capitole building showing that architecture type
Cute Renaissance building
I called it the city of huge churches as there's at least 4 humongous churches just in the city center alone. And even my wide angle lens cannot take the whole building of any one of them!
Interior of St Sernin
St Sernin
St Etinne church is interesting as it combines 2 types of architecture (ran out of time or money or both ^_^)
Side view of St Etinne
St Etienne with the juxtaposition of 2 building architecture types

Side Altar
Saint-Aubin church
While the look of the buildings are not my favorite out of this trip (Montpellier is still prettier for me), this city come alive at night with both the people and the buildings! This is why i picked the first picture of me/Bill as a night shot for the first time in the blogs. And i compare a few monuments and buildings with day and night to show the contrast.
Pont Neuf
St Perter bridge
Capitole building as compared to an old plate in a museum
Capitole building at night
Monument des Combattants de la Haute-Garonne
The city streets are pretty and the xmas lights are fun
City streets at night
City streets in the day time
Notre Dame Basilica that turns out like a painting when i played with the camera exposure
We went into Dupuy museum and saw a small collection of watches and clocks
Violets are the city emblem and u can find anything violet related in the city, from tea to perfume to satchets etc
Everything violet
When we got to Toulouse, we found Petite Marie and got the best value for money meal in France. That's when we saw retired men gathered around the bartender at 2pm drinking wine and chatting. One of them even nagged me to be careful with my phone as it's sticking out too much .. hahaha
Bunch of folks gathered around the bar in Petite Marie
Meal at Petite Marie
Lunch at L'alimentation
Dinner at Barrir  & Bourrique
Interesting captures of food and other things in the city
At the end of our trip, we took a picture of a real xmas tree in the local park.
Our France trip 2017 is done!
