Big apples adventure day 2

What does one do waking up in big apple?
Find a bagel shop, and see a doggie in purple booties on our way :)

H&H Bagel
Found this bagel place in mid town on our way to the Metropolitan Art Museum (MET).

Huge amount of lox cream cheese in a garlicky bagel and everything bagel. Yum!
Bagels here are fluffier than bagels in west coast, with a crunchier crust.

Metropolitan Art Museum

After bagel-fueled for the day, we spend 8 hours in the metropolitan museum and barely covered 25% of the exhibits. It's definitely on par with The Louvre and need 3 days just to briskly walk through the museum.
There's already a long line before 10am. Fortunately, we had the New York 3 attraction pass that allowed us to skip the ticket purchase line.

Metropolitan Art Museum
We only covered European art and musical instruments in the 8 hours.
There are an impressive amount of Monet, Van Gogh and Rembrandt pieces. The art pieces here are my personal favourite. I heard that you can download some of the art images off their website.

Porcelain figures and the room of Armor
Rembrandt.. spooky
Cute snuff boxes
Monet - my favourite
Van Gogh (Yawn)
Picasso (Fun)
The music section is interesting. There's early piano, violin and all kind of instruments. Here are Eric Clapton guitar 000-42 and a Dutch princess white clarinet in ivory and gold

Joining the crowd resting in front of the MET at the end of the day - whew

The Apartment Doors around Park Avenue

I like all these doors around Park Avenue, that reminded me of all the tv shows with people meeting up at the steps leading to the doors.

We met Bill's friend Peter and his wife Faranak for dinner that night at their place. To protect the innocent, there will be no pictures posted. Jk =) We didn't take pictures that night as we are too tired.
